Почему скрипт работает только с картинками из файлов системы, а с картинками по ссылке из интернета нет?

Здравствуйте, почему когда я указываю локальный путь картинки (нап. images/player.png) скрипт работает, а когда указываю ссылку из интернета (нап. https://skin.vimeworld.ru/raw/skin/player.png) нет.
Как это исправить?
Сам скрипт (когда его вызываешь с skinURL = https://skin.vimeworld.ru/raw/skin/player.png не работает):
